Vi and Viv at the Pittsburgh Zoo (Pretty Sweet Fairy Dolls, redressed)

Hello again friends and visitors. This is Treesa. I recently returned from an overnight stay in Pittsburgh. Some of my family members were going and they asked me to come with them.

I decided to make the most of the opportunity by packing my camera (fully charged this time) and two of my Kelly-sized dolls, Vi and Viv. I've featured Vi and Viv on the blog before. They're twin sisters, and they always do everything together. They also have a habit of finishing each other's sentences. And since Vi and Viv will be sharing the story of their little adventure in their own words, I will be typing the name of whichever doll is talking at the beginning of each line. The words will also be color coded, purple for Vi, blue for Viv, and green if both dolls are saying the same thing at the same time. Vi and Viv sometimes do that. Now, let's get on with the story.
Signed, Treesa

P.S. The picture above was taken at the Blue Mountain Service Plaza, where we stopped to stretch our legs.

Vi and Viv: Hi!
Vi: Tressa asked us to share all about our trip.
Viv: She took us to a zoo,
Vi and Viv: in Pittsburgh!
Vi: Treesa tucked us into her bag the night before,
Viv: 'cause her family was leaving really early the next morning. The car ride was really, really long,
Vi: but we slept through part of it. When we woke up, Treesa whispered that we had to be really quiet,
Viv: 'cause Treesa's family doesn't know we're alive.
Vi: Treesa was sitting in back by herself with some of the luggage,
Viv: so her family didn't see us right away.
Vi: Then Treesa gave us chocolate chip cookies for breakfast. Dolls don't have to eat,
Viv: but they smelled really good.
Vi: When we got to the zoo, Treesa put us in her fanny pack.
Viv: (giggle) That's a funny word.

Vi: Treesa unzipped it just enough so we could peek out,
Viv: but the humans wouldn't see us.
Vi: We saw elephants,

Viv: and giraffes and zebras,

Vi: and we saw a real live dragon,
Viv: a Komodo dragon with long claws. It was scary looking,

Vi: but it was behind a window and couldn't get out. There was a fish pond at the zoo too,
Viv: with lots of fish. Treesa took a picture.

Vi: There were more fish at the aquarium, but Treesa didn't think she was allowed to take pictures inside the aquarium.
Viv: It was darker in there too,
Vi: and most of the fish moved really fast. Treesa said it's easier to take pictures if the animals aren't moving so much.
Viv: There were deer at the zoo too.
Vi: The zoo had a path that went right through where the deer lived,
Viv: so you could see them really close up.

Vi: Treesa said wild deer run away when they see humans.
(Silence)
Vi: That's all the fun stuff that happened.
Viv: The ride home was really, really long,
Vi: and it was raining really hard, so we couldn't see anything out the windows.
Viv: I think Treesa was worried. She looked worried,
Vi: but we got home ok.
(Silence)
Vi: I can't think of anything else to say, so I guess we should say goodbye.
Viv: Ok.
Vi and Viv: Goodbye!

Update from Dandelion (redressed Fairytopia Dandelion)

First off, I'm sorry things have been kinda quiet on the blog. Today is the election primary, and Treesa's been using her laptop to research candidates these past few days. It's kinda hard to blog when your human won't get off the computer. I know elections are important for you humans, but Treesa was really agonizing over this. She wanted to make sure she made an 'informed decision', whatever that means.

Anyway, you'll all have to wait a little longer for a 'real' post. This is just a quick update post. I thought some of you readers might like to know Treesa just got a bunch more 'fantasy hair colors' dolls. I'm looking at you MyLittleMegara.

I'll start with Hallows Eve. She's a Special Edition Enchanted Halloween Barbie, and she has blond hair with an orange streak. In Treesa's collection, just having a 'fantasy color' streak in your hair is enough for you to be a 'fantasy hair color' doll. At least, that's what Han thinks. Han's a 12 inch vintage Star Wars Han Solo doll. He says he's an 'action figure', but his articulation doesn't even come close to Lawson's or any other 'action figure' in Treesa's collection. Han keeps calling us 'fantasy hair color' dolls 'The Rainbow Brite Brigade', even though a lot of us don't like it.

Anyway, the next doll is Anemone. She's a Barbie Easy Dress mermaid with pink hair. At least, she was a mermaid before she ended up undressed at the thrift store. Treesa redressed her, but not as a mermaid.

Next there's Abby and Maddy. They're from the Barbie Princess Power line. Treesa found them on clearance at Walmart. Abby has blue and yellow hair, and Maddy has purple and orange hair. They've also got molded clothes, but Treesa redressed them anyway. Treesa named them Abby and Maddy because that's their characters' names in the Princess Power movie. The problem is, Treesa can never remember which one's Abby and which one's Maddy. I don't think their personalities are helping with that. They're sort of like an older version of Vi and Viv, always finishing each others sentences.

Anyway, the last 'fantasy hair color' doll Treesa got, so far, was Michaela. She's a Barbie doll with light purple hair who used to be a fairy. She's got molded on clothes too, like Abby and Maddy. Treesa tried to find something for Michaela to wear, but it wasn't easy. I know Treesa was thinking about body swapping Michaela, but then she changed her mind. I'm not sure why.

Anyway, I guess that's it for this update. I'll try to talk some of the new dolls into posting.

Later, Dandelion

Vi and Viv's Story (Pretty Sweet Fairy Dolls, redressed)

(Just a quick note for you readers. Vi and Viv wanted to do this post together, so the format is a little different from previous posts. I wanted to make it easier to tell which doll was talking, especially since Vi and Viv have a habit of finishing each other's sentences. So I typed the name of whichever doll was talking at the beginning of each line. I also color coded the text, purple for Vi, blue for Viv, and green if both dolls were saying the same thing at the same time. Hopefully this will help avoid confusion.
Signed, Treesa)

Vi and Viv: Hi!

Vi: I'm Vi,

Viv: and I'm Viv.

Vi and Viv: We're twins!

Vi: We look a lot alike, but I have purple hair,

Viv: and I have blue hair.

Vi: Treesa got us at a store that sells stuff for a dollar, but she didn't get us the same day. Treesa got me first,

Viv: and me second.

Vi: We used to be fairy dolls,

Viv: with fairy wings.

Vi: Treesa took our wings off, but it didn't hurt,

Viv: 'cause the wings are bendy.

Vi: We both still have a knob on our back, where the wings go.

Viv: But we can wear lots of other clothes now that we don't have wings! I like that we only have to dress fancy if we want to.

Vi: Me too. Treesa says our fairy dresses weren't made nice. Our new dresses are a lot nicer,

Viv: and they match our hair! Vi has a purple dress and I have a blue dress.

Vi: And our shoes come off too, so we can change them if we want to.

Viv: Lila and Buffy can't do that! They have molded shoes that don't come off.

Vi: Lila is a Sparkle Girlz doll. She has purple hair too, but her head's bigger than mine. When Treesa got Lila, I was scared. I thought Treesa didn't want me anymore. But Treesa said she loves me and Lila the same.

Viv: We don't know what kind of doll Buffy is, but she's lived with Treesa a long time.

Vi: It's nice having a twin sister. I always have someone to play with,

Viv: and someone to talk to.

Vi: We get mad at each other sometimes, but we don't stay mad for long.

Viv: I like how we're more than just sisters. We're best friends AND sisters!

Vi: We've only lived with Treesa for a little while so far, but it's nice here.

Viv: Yesterday, Treesa took us outside to take our picture,

Vi and Viv: for the blog!

Vi: We felt so special,

Viv: and important.

(Silence)

Vi: I can't think of anything else to say.

Viv: Me either.

Vi: I guess we should say goodbye.

Viv: Ok.

Vi and Viv: Goodbye!
